Q: What is something unique about your community?
A: “Greendale has a very small town feeling and yet is very close to the big city of Milwaukee. It has a 1950s charm and has a very unique central area where people gather in the village; it is a go-to place. It has a very strong sense of community.
“Franklin is a bedroom community, people live here but travel to work. It’s a diverse and growing community. They recently added a minor lead baseball field, Routine Field, and have their own minor league team. They have some great recreation things going on.”

Shannon: “‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’ (the original) and ‘Harry Potter.'”

Q: Who is your favorite sports team?
A: Tom: “I’m a big Packer Fan. I grew up in Kansas so I  also have a strong affiliation with the Chiefs.”
Shannon: “Packers.”

Q: What attracted you to The Faces Of project?
A: “There were some interesting community challenges going on at the time that we signed up. We thought it was a great opportunity to bring the communities closer together with a positive light. We also wanted to do something as real estate agents in the community and this was a great catalyst to talk to new people and network. It can be so easy to let networking slide but this is a fun way to meet new people.”

Q: Who is the most famous person you have met?
A: Shannon: “Brett Farves’ father.”
Tom: “Lynn Dickey and Paul Coffman (Packers).”

Q: Have you ever shown a house you believe to be haunted?
A: “We thought our own house was haunted, we lived right next to a graveyard. There were a couple of weird things that happened while we lived there, it was a weird feeling. Both of the houses we have owned and lived in, were home where the husband died and we bought them from the widow. There was weird vibe that eventually went away. We also showed a house in Caledonia that was haunted; the sellers teenage boyfriend had been killed in an accident and there were weird things in the house like writing in the steam on bathroom mirror.  Her parents were there when we were talking with the owners and they were verifying all this stuff that happened. She eventually told the ghost ‘it is fine I’m good, you don’t have to watch over me anymore’ and everything stopped.”

Q: What are two things or characteristics that you have that have made you successful in your career?
A: Tom: “I’m a strong believer in being ethical and hard working.”
Shannon: “I’m really good at paying attention to detail and have a  passion for what we do. We both have determination and persistence.”

A: Shannon: “Family.”
Tom: “Interacting with people.”

Q:  What is the most beautiful place you have been in this world?
A: Tom: “The Kansas prairie during a sunset.”
Shannon: “Any beach.”

Q: What are two to three of your favorite books?
A: Tom: “I love reading. I prefer biographies but I read a lot of books.”
Shannon: “I’m always reading all the time. I belong to one book club and I’m considering joining a second one. It’s fun because we read books that I normally wouldn’t. I really enjoy it.”

Q: What else should people know about you?
A: “We are never too busy for your referrals.”
