Hello everyone! I am a blessed and grateful person. I have been married to my best friend, Jill, for 25 years. We have two incredible daughters. Sadie is our oldest and will be graduating from Georgia Tech this December 2021. Kate is our youngest. She just started her first year at Berry College. I have been a full time Realtor for 26 years. I grew up in Gainesville Georgia and it is still my home. I am a graduate of Georgia Tech. We love spending time on Amelia Island, Florida. I also love spending time at our farm in Lula, Georgia. I love the outdoors.
I believe that you can be, do, and attain anything that you can visualize in your mind and feel in your heart. I am living proof of that. I also believe that life is short and that every day matters. The Faces Of Hall County Georgia is the best thing I have ever done in business. Sharing this project with all of you has been amazing. Hearing from you how it has impacted you and your communities makes me very happy. We are CREATING CLOSER COMMUNITIES together. The true impact and influence each of us are creating is immeasurable. 2. Q: Please tell us about your family.
My father was a Real Estate Broker. He did it all. I am following in his footsteps. Just about everyone else in my family was in real estate, too. Finding my own clients was tough. My mother lives in Cartersville GA near my sister. My sister is a nurse/financial advisor/stay at home mom. She and her husband own a real estate company and have twins.
3. Q: From where do most of your clients originate?
Every year we look back. In any given year 70-80% of our business comes from past clients and our sphere of influence. I have always been a proponent of making my sphere of influence larger.
4. Q: What is something unique about your community?
Well I live in the best community in the world. That is highly unique! Gainesville is 1 hour from Atlanta, 1 hour from our international airport where you can fly non stop to anywhere in the world, less than an hour to many major universities, and less than an hour to the Blue Ridge Mountains. We have one of the best heath care complexes in the country. We have four true seasons of the year. Lake Lanier is at our doorstep. I have a video about Why Gainesville on www.abernathycochran.com!

Forrest Gump. Star Wars. Lonesome Dove.
6. Q: Who is your favorite college sports team?
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
7. Q: What attracted you to The Faces Of project?
I wanted to be the most visible and relevant Realtor in my market without having to "sell".
8. Q: Who is the most famous person you have met?
Bob Burg, the author of The Go Giver.
9. Q: For our partners in real estate: Have you ever shown a house you believe to be haunted?
Yes. Energy can be felt. I once got to a house and just left without even getting out of my truck.
10. Q: What are two things or characteristics that you have that have made you successful in your career?
Being positive and optimistic. Implementing ideas.
11. Q: What makes you happy?
My family. My pug puppy, Melly. Working on our farm with my friend John. Being on a tractor. Walking on the beach.
12. Q: What is the most beautiful place you have been in this world?
Maui, Hawaii.

The Go Giver. The Firm – John Grisham got me into reading for fun when I was in college.
14. Q: What else should people know about you?
I am a Christian. I love people. I think we are all more alike than we are different. I love playing board games with friends. I love spending time with friends. I am a foodie. I love coffees. I love craft beer. I am fiercely competitive. I stay up late. I sleep little.
15. Q: Who is your favorite pro sports team?
Pro sports is hard for me. My favorite team is the pros is the Atlanta Braves.
16. Q: Who inspires you to be better?
Myself. My faith. I do it for my family and my closest friends.
17. Q: What advice do you want to leave behind?
Create a physical vision board for what you want your life to be. I do it and update them all the time. Seeing what you want and feeling it will guide you.
